Today's HT carries a story called 'Unfit Nation' on the basis of a nationwide survey, conducted by the Union Health Ministry on parameters like obesity, malnutrition and anaemia. The big finding from the study is,
'Obesity can become the worst health hazard after malnutrition'
Another aspect which reflects the two Indias in a rather different way.

Reminds me of a recent article in New Scientist magazine about eight different Americas - based on the diffences in life expectancies of Americans. The study concluded that "When it comes to life expectancy, the US is far from one nation."
