Couldn't help putting up this one, my friends...
John Furr of JWT Chicago once said this about planners. ‘The account planner is like a mother. Someone who is expected to know it all. Someone who knows what’s right and what’s wrong. Someone you can trust; whose advice you seek when things go out of sorts. Someone who can settle arguments without seeming to take sides. Someone who will find time to help when others can’t. Someone who is interested in everything that affects you. Someone who will be there through thick and thin. Someone you probably forget to thank as often as you should. Someone whose work is never done.”

Looks like we have a lot of responsibility on our hands :)
it's an interesting sounding designation...'Account / Brand Mother'
Brand parent, perhaps? Politically right and piling on a little more responsibility from a dad's point of view too.
right, Iqbal...Parent (though not as interesting as 'Mother') will be correct!
