Thot bubbled #29

Why are WWW2 websites the new black? Or are they the new black? Everywhere you look, social networking sites and communities are the flavour of the web. And the web is the flavour of newtopia. Will the web ever become as big in India as it seems to have in the USA? Which company is poised to become the WWW2 lodestar in India? Experience tells me it takes about 5 years (give or take a few years) for things that are big in the West to become popular in India. So will we see an explosion in online marketing and online living in India some 5 to 10 years from now?

I think it will be a lot lot earlier than 5 years.

the future is already here...its just unevenly distributed!

agree with iqbal...it will be a lot earlier...for people like us, we are gravitating towards online living/ in the midst of it...

in the future India's rate of adoption of anything might be exponential/ time compressed!!

digital mindset might lag behind digital technology though:-)

Here's something that suggests things have indeed caught on a lot earlier than UberM thinks.

India's youth hit the web to worship

To what extent do Indian brands go online for their advertising needs?
