Friday Coffee - The Bangalore Chapter

The revolution that's sweeping the world reached Bangalore last Friday. Roop and I met for our first Friday Coffee evenings (not mornings, unlike the way the British do it :) at the ever-welcoming Koshy's (a pre-independence coffee joint that goes by several names including Parade Cafe and Fish & Chips.)

Put two thot blurbers together and what else will they speak about? The conversation centred around Thotblurb, the direction it is taking, and the things we need to do to keep the momentum going. We had a few interesting ideas - but for more on those, you have to watch this space.

The much expected game of chess didn't happen - but with Ubermanian in town this week, I am expecting a three way contest to take place.

It was a great evening indeed. We had lots to talk about and as IQ says, you need to wait and watch this space for more. Looking forward to meet Uber at Bangalore.

How about a ThotBlurbbers Day where all Thot Blurb members meet up for a day?

It's going to be quite a task getting all of us to land up in one place. We can do two things until that happens.

Whenever someone's travelling on work or otherwise, he/she can get in touch with other thotblurbers and meet up. It doesn't seem like much but this way all of us will end up meeting most of the others - if not at the same time.

The second thing we could do is have a group chat once every fortnight/month at a time convenient to all of us. This could be a regular feature - with whoever is free joining the sesssions.

IQ, you are great. Thats the most cost effective web 2.0 idea. Virtual meeting incase we cannot meet everyone. Create a ThotBlurb Room in any of the IM Chat sites, use webcam if possible and chat...chat...chat. Great way to be in touch and exchange thots. I'm all for it. What say guys?

Hi there. Sorry we couldn't do the game of chess. It will have to wait for another day: Got tied up with a bunch of things.

The chat sounds like an interesting idea though I'm not sure what we'll chat about. All the more reason it seems like an interesting idea. And probably easier to do, thanks to www2. Reminds me of a post I read sometime back on Russell's blog about why air travel is a sunset industry - in some parts of the world.

@UberM: You were missed and Roop made some concerned calls asking if I had heard from you :)
