Two Indias Among The Many

I love the new Times Of India campaign - India Poised. Gulzar's lyrics and the English version penned by Aggie, both are very good. Check out the videos on Indiapoised.com

There is no one way to describe the current growth/ phase of India. It's an interesting mish-mash of Elephant and Tiger paradigms...And therefore the two India route makes a lot of sense(and has been handled with a degree of sensibility)!

Definitely one campaign, I wish I had done.

Though, Amitabh in his nth commercial is straining the boundaries of celebrity endorsement. But he is a Meta Brand and can do no wrong:-) Gulzar saheb as always is awesome...

yeah it's totally doing what everyone and their dog is doing at the mo, but doing it well. i feel kinda good everytime i read that india poised bit.. before i flip over and read about murdered kids and farmers killing themselves.. hmmm..

as an aisde, speaking of celeb endorsement.. I happened to be in Lucknow yday and did a city tour to chk out the places, the billboards etc. and i see one for teacher's achievement with jagjit singh. and i wonder. isn't it ironic.. i belv his son died in a hit-n-run car crash.. *correct me if i'm wrong* - i did wonder how come he chose to advertise an alcohol brand... hmmm!!

I didn't like it that much. The copy was rather clumsily written, I thought. I think it might have been a better, deeper idea if they had gone for the many Indias tack, rather than the two Indias cliche.

I totally agree with UberM. I think it could have been done much much better. In fact, I cringe every time I see it :)
